A bunch of fans got together to make a re-imagining / Remake of the old Renegade, using the Unreal Engine.

Total Biscuit video here:

Oh, did I mention it's free (still in Beta)?

Just thought C&C fans would be interested.
Besides, I already made a thread like this before. Gotta keep it consistent.

Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Yeah, I was wondering why no one has cracked down on it yet.

You'd think the current owners of C&C would be all over it. Maybe they don't own Renegade, or something.

Yes, yes it was.

It was interesting for it's time though, and the fan game looks decent.

Apparently this has been made with EA's blessing. Strange I know.

Probably trying to get some grace points, considering their recent that was Dungeon Keeper Mobile.

Alternatively it mean that EA have killed off the C&C franchise so they don;t care what a bunch of modders do.....

In fairness EA did allow GOG to give Dungeon keeper away for free so at least they know how badly recieved the mobile version is

You are aware this project started in 2007 right?

Also, love Renegade, going to love this. Never bothered finishined the single player, love that multiplayer.

The single player could have been so good, but...the game suffered from being a piece of gak.

Although Soladrin is right, MP is where it was AT with that game. So, I'm excited about this.

I managed to suffer through the singleplayer. The ending was mediocre, but it was cool walking through Kane's bedroom.

Multiplayer was renegade. You can get mods to turn it into Red Alert, Red alert 2, tiberium sun and tiberian twilight (3). The fourth installment though isn't getting converted.

Renegades was fun. Silly, but fun.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Walking through the hand of NOD and going through the forest....kinda reminds me of the training sims on board the imperial navy ships.
