Hi,
Been playing around with lists lately, and for some reason I have taken a shine to triple land raider lists, especially when used in conjunction with Dark Angels for the power field generator and Dakka banner, for a tough mobile force (granted weak against MCs and has limits scoring potential and fire power, manticores will probably eat it too). I've got three main lists I quite fancy, just looking for input on how happy people would be to play against them (due to use of dual forces org or forge world) ideas to improve them or peoples own spin on the concept.
1) Dark angels Armoured wall (uses 2x force org)
PA Command squad (BoD, apoth, 2 combi-flamers; apoth and flamers are to use up points and give the unit the potential to assault with Azrael if their ride blows up) 200pt
Tech Marine (bike, power field) 100pt
Azrael (makes RWS troops, can choose furious charge to give command squad slightly more CC punch)
librarian (bike, power field generator) 115pt (between him and the techie they can cover all the armour in a line formation)
2x 5man tac squads 70pt
2x 3man Ravenwing squad (2x melta, don't know whether to use to protect techie and libarian, or keep in reserve for late game scoring) 100pt
3x Land raider crusaders (multimelta) 260pt (protects flanks of vindis, anti-horde, multimelta can potms armour)
2x Vindicators
I like this list due to it hopefully being less cheesey being just DA with no forge world, vindicators and land raiders can offer a threat to both horde and armour (granted at short ranges). Flyers and MC's will be a problem, though hopefully FMCs can be grounded via bolter fire.
2) Clan Raukaan with DA allies Spear tip
RWCS (5x knights, grenade launcher, apoth; CM with these guys, apoth gives him proper fnp he can boost, he can tank wounds, gains hit and run for repeated charges, just wish he'd gain scout so I could out flank them) 230pt
Librarian (powerfield, bike) 115pt (with grav bikers for protection and prescience's them in return, hides between land raiders chevron formation)
Scouts (5x camo cloaks, rifles; not sure what to do with these guys, I like the modelling opportunity of rifles but I know they won't last 2 minutes on the table, worth out flanking with bolters for a last min grab/contest?) 70pt
Chapter Master (gorgons chain, artificer, thunder hammer, lightning claw, bike) 265ish pt (I know fairly dull but I like the contrast with the rest of the force in having a CC beat stick, thinking of keeping him with RWCS behind raiders as an MC counter charge unit)
Bike squad (5 bikes 2 grav guns) 135pts (mainly more scoring and protection for librarian, some limited MC capability)
3x 5man tac squads (would love to find the points to give them techmarines for sergeants for the fluff but no joy)
3X Land raider Achilles
I know very cheesy list having 3 forge world units, but hopefully I won't come across as WAAC as low model count and still weak to MCs are fairly significant flaws.
3) DA with Inq allies Penta-raider
RWCS (3xknight, BOD) 185pts (vulnerable to barrage)
Librarian (Bike, power field) 115pt (with the RWCS)
3x Tac squads (flamers) 75pt
3x Land raider crusaders (multimelta) 260pt
Coteaz (for scoring hench men, can prescience his ride, not sure if he offers this force much else)
2X 3man acolytes (will be representing tank crew, not sure they are much use as scoring as there survival will rely on getting out last turn)
2x Land raider Prometheus (multimelta, psybolts) 285ptsish (offers some mid strength firepower and slightly longer range, the -1 cover save on target may assist with antihorde)
Probably the weakest list, mainly made to see how many land raiders with scoring units I could fit in the list as well as abusing upgrades to greatest effect, in this case Bod for 72 bolter shots and psybolts for S6 heavy bolters.
Sorry for the wall of text, hopefully I've managed to lay it out in a half decent format. Any advice/feedback would be great
