2500 points: For those who only ever see black knight character bus builds.
Master Necro, level 4, Black Periapt, lore of vampire, general
Master Necro, level 4, lore of vampire
Necromancer, level 1, lore of vampire
Necromancer, level 1, lore of vampire
40 skeletons, standard and musician
2x18 skeletons, standard and musician, 1 with banner of discipline (wizard bunkers)
2x20 zombies, standard and musician (chaff)
2x5 Dire Wolves
3x2 Fellbats
30 Grave Guard, great weapon, standard and musician
8 Crypt Horrors
2 Mortis Engines (1 w/ tome)
The idea is to box in my caster, and then move forward spamming invoke to stay at full strength, and the other lore of vampire spells to deal some damage. The Master necromancer who gets wind of undeath bunkers behind the crypt horrors and flings it through them and into the enemy. Crypt horrors shrug off 2D6 S3 or S4 hits with ease; enemy units not so much.
I should have enough chaff to stall out most death stars.

I like it! Different in some ways yet still competitive as Vamp lists go.
Do you think the 4 wizards plus ME's will be over kill in the magic phase though? With two level 4's you'll probably be sucking most of the dice out of the pool... I get that you want the extra invocations to spam, but you might see some utility out of picking up Lore of Death, maybe even on the second level 4.
Soul Blight, Doom and Darkness, Purple Sun, and snipe spells all have a place in your army without a doubt.
PS LOVE the fell bats!

I have some a bunch of questions when it comes to VC, with your permission (its your thread) I will post them, and if you want to answer them that would be fantastic!
Ps. I don't mean to derail this thread (the only Vc I have ever played was terragiest spam at 2k points) so if this isn't allowed apologizes in advance.

Some minor tweaks will make this list 100x better.
Get master of undead for your general so he can grow the skeleton bunker. Get a dispel scroll on the level 1. Get a cursed book or book of Arkhan on your other level 4. Finally for a couple points get a seed of rebirth on yor general to give him a 4 plus regen when combine with the Morris engines. You can pay for all this by dropping one if the level 1 necros because - 4 invocations is overkill IMO.
Also noticed you really need a champ I. Your bunker to shut down flying characters like the demon prince.
Final thought - this list would love to see a corpse cart, just not sure how you'd squeeze one in.

I used to run a summon lists with 6 invokes (3 vampires, 1 necro, 2 master necros), and it was good.
You don't run 4 invokes to have 4 invokes, you run it to have the 2 invokes where you really need them.
Making more skeletons is nice, but not that critical. I wanted it, along with the seed, but I'd rather have 1 more summons.
As for the champ, it isn't an issue. I just box out the character, by standing behind another friendly unit. You don't have space to complete the charge to the front. If you charge to the flank, you won't be touching my wizard.
If you challenge, I will decline.
So far, I've been able to down daemon princes with the banshees in the mortis engines, combined with the pulse effect of the engines.
Corpse cart doesn't do much in this type of build, though it does wonders in the vampire hero spam.
