I know that's not what you are looking for-but its not a good idea.

They don't mix, the rules are different, the base assumptions that balance is built around are different and they are generally not designed for the same game, because 30k and 40k are not the same game.

You want a reason why they don't fit? try throwing AdMech troops into 40k, they are insane compared to anything.
