Who do I take with me to accompany Vect? I've discarded Warriors, Wyches, and most likely Bloodbrides as useful options and Wracks/Grotesques and Mandrakes for other reasons, at this point I think the choice is between Incubi (very expensive but also very choppy, it's a gamble as to whether the Dais survives the next turn), Trueborn (also expensive, but they allow me to unload a lot of fire into one unit immediately on landing with the Retrofire Jets and I can hang back and unload five Dark Lances instead of three if I need them), and Harlequins (similar price to the other two, functionally not unlike the Incubi with a different approach to melee and some actual shooting). If you were to put seven hundred points of models in one Deep Striking basket what would you choose?

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

Incubi make the most sense if you ask me but if you're going to take something melee like incubi, I wouldn't suggest deep striking the Dais in the first place. It has AV13 so with some cover it would probably survive until can charge something. Or if you can't make the charge range to something on the first turn, which you probably have due to Vect, go Flat-out for that 4+ jink. Whatever you choose, it will be one big fire magnet anyways

First the Dais of Destrution can't Deepstrike.

Second, If you want Vect in CC you take Harlquins, because they have grenades. Incubis don't have grenades and no way to get them [Except getting another archon with phantasm launcher]

And if you doesn't want him in CC, Trueborns.

But dont forget the Dais doens't have Night/Flickerfield, so Jink is the only defensive option to keep it alive

Perfect for Harlequins (5x and shadowseer with rending and 2 blast pistols). Shove haemos with liquifiers, shattershard, crucibal of malediction and dark gate as well if you want extra amusement.

Expensive though and a MASSIVE fire magnet.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
860 pts as I'd run it. I'd back it up with 3 ravagers and 5 squads of Wracks in venoms with liquifiers. (1850).

Looks like fun!

Call me suicidal, but i run an Archon's court in mine

They make an interesting toolbox for Vect, although i doubt they are the most powerful unit you could slap in there.

Also if you take Sliscus as a second HQ (which i usually do) you can deepstrike the Dais.

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

I didn't realize they FAQed out Raider upgrades for the Dais.
