I did a quick search and didn't find anything about this so I thought I'd make a thread. What are your thoughts about having a customer version of 40k with rules and codex based on actual fluff that's open to the community much the same way as Wikipedia works.

Is there a way that the references to the codex can be left but the rules modified? I say this because I was wondering about what are some things that I'd personally like to see and if there are other people in the internet who may enjoy my home brew rules, can I share this information in a way that won't get me banned/sued/called a cheat?

I'd like to see an Adeptus Mechanicus, Imperial Guard/Navy, Adeptus Astarties (All non-Inquisition Chapters), Inquisition, and Ecclesiarchy codex. With special deployment rules, special units, rules of engagements, tactical guides as well as book guides for fluff reading materials.

Just an idea. Thoughts?

Here's a wiki where some people post user-created homebrew rules, codexes, etc... It is in no way a serious website though.... I'm wondering why I even posted it...

My first thought is ''everytime someone says 'homebrew' instead of 'homebrewed' I want to grit my teeth until I grind them into powder.''

My second thought is that it would be very hard to control from a quality perspective. Still, I might give it a shot if there were an army on there I wanted to play. I would be willing to contribute playtesting info ('This power is overpriced.' 'This character doesn't do enough for his points.') but I wouldn't be able to commit the time to writing rules or fluff for it.
