Hey Guys, Quick one.

After the Imperial Knight Codex is released can you still elect to use the rules presented in the white dwarf? I ask because the White dwarf allows you to ally with ANY army where as the codex will limit you.

I would say the Codex trumps the White Dwarf rules as it is always the latest rule set that is seen as 'legal'.

Though if your buddies are OK with you playing the Knight allied with anything don't see the problem, paint it up and go

Once the Codex is out you should go with that. There's nothing stopping you from asking your opponent if they mind you using one with your Chaos Marines etc though.

Does the White Dwarf even mention who it can ally with at all? I never saw that in the leaks.

The WD article/rules never said who you could or couldn't ally it with, just that you could add up to three knights as an allied detachment to your main force

Where in White Dwarf does it say that Imperial Knights can ally with any army?

It doesn't. The white dwarf didn't include any rules for taking them in an army at all... Just the rules for the individual knights.

They may also be taken as allis; you can include up to three Imperial Knights as a single allied detachment in your army.

The only requirement, RAW to take Knights as allies is that you must take an army. Since if you have at least a primary detachment, you have an army, you can therefore take a Knight.

No. The RAW doesn't say which army you can take them with. Your trying to support your claims by saying it doesn't say you can't, so you can when it's actually just the opposite. Since they don't specify which armies can take Knights as allies, then none of them can despite what the article says.
