So i just picked up Harker and a squad of Catachans.
Do you think the best way to run them would be to sit on objectives with 2x Flamers, 1x H.Flamer and 6 shotguns?
I was also wondering if Camo Cloaks stacked with his Stealth rule or am i missing something here?

Thanks a lot!

Due to the FAQ, Stealth and cloaks do stack, so you're looking at a 2+ cover in ruins or behind an ADL.

As for loadouts, I'd go with Harker, HB, 3 plasma and cloaks. Good firepower against infantry and also capable of hurting tanks.

For a cheaper setup, 3 flamers and an extra HB make them fearsome defensive units.

Flamers are a waste of their BS4. I like giving them plasma and infiltrating them upfield or outflanking them and hitting side armor on stuff.

Agreed with the plasma.
However, the flamers aren't too bad of an idea, it's a good threat for assaulting units and you still have the Heavy Bolter to give them range.

My thinking on flamers is that you take the unit as something defensive. With a 2+ cover in ruins, anyone but Tau is really going to have to assault to get them out, and the 3 flamers can provide a good defence against that. I agree melta or plasma for a more aggressive setup, but for pure defence the flamers are better.

BY having harker don't you want a heavy weapon along with them? as harker is giving them Relentless afterall move and fire as normal

Relentless doesn't confer to the squad, but I would always throw in another HB for some long-range firepower.

In my new list i'm going to run 3 vet squads, and one will have 3 flamers to just sit and hide, one will have 3 meltas get dropped of by my Vendetta and i'm unsure on the 3rd.

So I can see you thinking and i'm going along the same lines.

This, I love this loadout and it's too deadly for your opponent to ignore.

This is the best loadout. 6 Str5 Shots and 3-6 Str7AP2 shots with 2+ in ruins is da bomb.

"Fearsome defensive unit" is a bit of a stretch. 6avg flamer hits isn't "fearsome" to any assault unit, or most units in general. Unless your opponent is charging the harker squad with GEQ (which is just silly), Flamer Harker squads will die pretty easily without making their points back or even close.

3 Plasma guns and 2 Heavy bolters however will get a healthy amount of shooting in before your opponent decides to divert a killy unit to wiping it out.

Agree with the Captain. Whenever I ran him it was always with camo cloaks and plasma. I usually used an autocannon since I didn't have a heavy bolter team, but I could see using it with Harker to get a nice output of heavy bolter shots per turn.
