Been wanting to build a counts as army of Halo Covenant using the Eldar codex but have not made much progress. I am hoping posting will help give me a bit of motivation.

So here is my first Grunt wip. Made from a lizardmen skink.

Anyone know of something that would be small enough for lizardmen skinks that looks close to a halo plasma pistol?

Dark eldar splinter pistols maybe? Withthe stupid knife attachment on the butt they are about the right shape at least and de stuff is pretty small considering the usual GW macro calibres.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Well I looked at the pictures right away and didn't read the stuff you wrote and said to myself "hey that would be a cool lizardmen army" then you said it was a skink and for the Eldar codex haha

You could use them as warp spiders maybe? They are a little small though but has the back that would work!

Should greatly shorten the legs on the Grunt, there. Perhaps also add some sort of chestplate to bulk out the body? An Eldar Guardian might work.

The splinter pistols look to be the right size but shape is off. May just have to gs them the entire plasma pistols.

My plan for rules so far is this:
Eldar unit:Covvie unit
guardians:grunts
warp spiders:drones
wraithguard:brutes
autarch:arbitor
far/spiritseer:engineer or monitor
wraithlord:hunter
dark reapers:jackals with beam rifles
warlock:elites

I could shorten the legs and that would make them more gruntlike but they are small as is and any smaller may seem like modeling for advantage. Bulking out the chest would not be too difficult, maybe a bit more gs if I can't get some guardian chest plates.

Great looking grunt! I can't wait to see what else you do with the rest of them, I've finally started my UNSC P&M blog, about darn time. I've ended up getting some of those heads you suggested way back when, cheers heaps for that!
All the best,
James

Good luck with this! I picked up a few Halo clix minis for repainting and use in my Tau army as allied aliens myself. The only thing I began work on so far though was my Scarab as a Tau Reaver Titan counts as for Apoc games.
