Toughs?
Any ideas what to do with those 30 points? Grenadiers for plasma vets?

Tactics:
Exterminator Commissar tank support vets on objectives, Vanqs, LRBT and Bassilisk covers and slow advance of the enemy.
Sentries are put into the middle of board in cover to harras enemy infantry/vehicles.
Avenger and Valkyrie with Demos are for harrasing behind the lines.
CHimeras are mobile cover for Vets sitting on objectives

I'd convert Valkyrie into vendetta and take the autocannons on the avenger. Make them better at taking out vehicles and MCs.
Your veterans are mobile in chimeras yet you have heavy weapons, they'll only snapfire, take them out and save points. Same for command squad.

If you can convert basilisk into a weapon platform. 75pts for it with another 30 for camo.
Try and cut a few upgrades on ABG.
When I run them as allies I use
Vanquisher with beast hunter shells and CO axial stubber-190. For both hq and elite.
Troops is just two leman Russ tanks.


Overall pretty good list. Specially using all vets

I' not sure about the Avenger autocannons. Hellfurys are useful against massed soft targets. I think it would come handy when attacking rear lines of the enemy. For blasting a command squad? Maybe

Can Vanquisher fire standart explosive round and vanquisher round or only vanquisher rounds? I'm not sure at the moment.

Point of vet HWTs are is the tactic. Chimeras bring them on objectives, where they disembark and hold the line. Some heavier anti infantry attack would come handy I belive. Chimeras stay near a provide fire support. Same as russes behind.

Idea of Bassilisk platform is good. i forgot the FOC is doubled in 2000+

I'll drop artificer armor and maybe paint scheme on Avenger? Is it worth for one leadership reroll for game?

Not a bad list mines very close to this except I run two executioners at 2500 with some inquisition love I wouldn't use heavy weapons with vet since their going to be moving every turn. The nice thing about the Armored battle group is after 1500 points it real begins to shine and show its power. And agree I think ABG is better as allies because the normal vet are cheaper than the vets of the abg and with them as allies you have a almost unlimited amount of tanks while still having a ton of scoring units in the vets.

Only vanquisher rounds I'm afraid. But commissar and company command tanks can take beast hunter shells which give them str8 ap2 small blast, instant death.
But you can choose which to use in shoot phase.

I agree with zengu that ABG gets better when the points get higher. And while certain upgrades are cool I'd leave them if I can and take another tank.
