Thoughts? .... I have never played kill team before (normally 1500-2000 point games) and looking for some advice.

I don't normally play with bikes but in general you have wayyyyyyyyyyy too much anti-vehicle for a kill team game. One or two is normally enough, you have five.

Actually, depending on who you are playing against, it's extremely effective... I played a KT game a few weeks back with my Tau against CSM (only a 10-man marine squad). I had three pathfinders with rail rifles and two suits with fusion blasters, they decimated the CSM.

well, the bikes all have twin-linked bolters .... that plus str 8 ap 1 melta weapons should be able to take down w/e they shoot at

plasma would be the other option but with gets hot I would rather not chance killing a model in a kill team game, grav guns while great on bikes are so so with it being kill team

Grav Guns are actually a lot better in Kill Team than you'd think. Give a dude rocking one Ignores Cover. 18" with 3 shots on a 12" mobile platform, it's better and safer than 2 shots with plasma from 12" away.

It's also a godsend against Nurgle players. You're just as likely to wound with a Grav Gun than with Plasma against Nurgle Bikers, which are really, really effective units in Kill Team. Not saying you should bring the grav guns, but just saying they are actually pretty good.

Also: Melta Guns are still highly effective in Kill Team. You can only ever shoot at one unit at a time, so something that, if you hit and don't roll a 1 to wound, guarantees a kill is pretty great. Also deletes multi-wound T4 units like Nid Warriors or Tau Crisis suits. AND as it's already on a bike, there's pretty much no downside to taking one.

The issue I see you running into is low model count, and not enough increased protection for your guys to justify it. I think I'd drop the combi weapon, melta bombs AND the entire attack bike. That's literally an entire tactical marine squad. 5 more bodies on the field is really important.

I also think I'd peel away a single biker so you're just bringing 4 instead of 5. The extra 21 points sets you at 26 total with what's left. I'd give the Biker Sgt. a power sword, then probably give a tactical marine a Heavy Bolter. Alternatively, drop one of the biker melta guns down to a Flamer, and bring a Rocket Launcher on a tactical marine.

Leader: Tactical Squad Sergeant. His only job in life is to hide and not die.

Specialist 1: Biker Sgt. Dirty Fighter. Fleshbane USR. Fleshbane + power sword = haha you ded.

Specialist 2: Melta Gun biker 1 = Guerilla Specialist. Preferred Enemy (mostly because increased accuracy, and it also helps when shooting at enemy models rather than tanks), or Scout, or Infiltrate. Depends on what you think you'll be fighting, and what you think you'll need. I think Preferred Enemy here is probably the most universal bet, but Scout/Infiltrate is excellent if you expect them bringing a Rhino or something.

Specialist 3: Tactical Marine with Heavy Weapon. If Rocket Launcher, Ignores Cover. If Heavy Bolter, either Relentless or Split Fire. Either way, he's your Weapons Specialist. The idea of heat-seeking rockets is pretty hilarious, and self-explanatory in a game mode where the best armor save you'll ever encounter is 3+. Heavy Bolter with Split Fire lets you most likely kill 1 guy, and possibly kill a second which because you're still kind of low on the model count is really important if you run into a Gaunt Swarm or someone rocking 30 Boys.

The way I see it, your bikers are going to do work, especially that Power Sword guy. Tactical Marines with White Scars are still pretty slippery. If people assault you, they can jet back out of combat should they survive, which is really really good. You've got your mobile guys and your other dudes who can castle up and wait for the enemy to come to you.
