Is this a great way to kill tanks?

Also, is Mantle of the Laughing God + Faolchu's wing a good combo for a Footarch?

It does work for killing tanks, but it's super expensive. If you combine the two items, even more super effective at just staying alive, but now you're dumping a bunch of points into a character that solo runs around.

Beat me to it. Agreed not worth it. you end up spending one round moveing into position and then have to hope you opponent will ignore you. probably not going to happen since you have a melta weapon.

Its main use is to guarantee you linebreaker. Though, of course, a unit of jetbikes will do just as well, but they are twice the price.

Of course, this means you have to keep your Autarch from getting killed till last turn, so what'll he be doing all the time?

I think it goes well with a Uldanorethi Long Rifle or Reaper Launcher Autarch. Alternately, you could take a cheap as chips Autarch to just stay behind and man a Quad gun all game (and to get the reserves modifier) and then rush and score linebreaker on turn 6 when not much stuff is left on the table.

Couldn't you do any and all of this with a Jetbike Autarch?

The only reason to take the Wing over a Jetbike is to go in a vehicle or building I'd think.

Or not owning a Jetbike...

it a freakin feather (no idea why it replaces a weapon), so it gives you a chance to use your foot models without having to scratch build your own jetseer or buy the costly jetarch upgrade kit and convert one of your jetbikes

the best thing is that run moves are not affected by difficult terrain
