Hey guys, I am wondering which of these lists you think would be the more powerful list and would you make changes to either of them to make them more competitive?

First up Beaststar Deldar

Which list do you think is best and why? also are there any changes you would make?

I haven't had any expierence with Beaststar; but Serpent Spam is pretty point and click.

List one because you have psychic support. That's what list two needs

I would go list #1 because it would be more fun to play, plus if you go against competitive tau you can take out them missilesides/riptides.

I too am leaning towards list one just because I feel that it would be more fun to play but the only thing is, Wave Serpents are just so damn effective!

if you were to put these lists up against each other and both players knew what they were doing; in any mission save Purge the Alien, list #2 would win. More of the good scoring units that will kill list #1's scoring units. 2nd list does need a jetseer though!

List 1 as it will be a lot more fun then serpent spam, you also won't be labled as a serpent spammer but rather someone who uses a lot of serpents, quite a difference. The only thing you could suggest is dropping the spirit stone and a daemon dog or two and get yourself mantle on one of your Farseers. Having both in the same unit is asking to give up warlord, when without the warlord you can then use the unit as expendible. There are few downsides as fortune is 24 inch range if he gets it. Apart from that he will just keep your warlord point alive.

Firstly: those who generally throw "spammer" label around either can't handle or afford to run the list.
Second: if the person is a Richard enough to label you as such, just having "a lot" isn't going to stop that.
Third: "Winner" label will quell any butthurt you might have over being called a spammer, and giver the "whiner" an excuse for his loss.

Beaststar is arguably the best list in the game right now, it's an incredibly good unit. I think it's better off with all dogs. The Flocks are more lethal, for sure, but the job of the Beaststar is durability and board control. The dogs are much better at that. An extra couple of flocks won't make that much of a difference in what you can kill versus the durability you're trading. List 1 is the better TAC list, but you would be better off with the all dog Star IMO. And no matter what, in both lists, you should find the points for a squad or two of Jetbikes. They're the best Troops unit in the game, and are just ridiculous.

I have decided to go with the BeastStar for my main army but I will dabble in a little bit of Seer Council for select tournaments

I like it. I'm assuming that's 24 Khymarae? Otherwise you don't need 5 Beastmasters. It's similar to the list I just won best General at BFSR with.

Either way, consider taking Eldrad in the Beaststar. The unit is so big you can keep him in coherency (unlike a Seer Council) and his ML4 is huge for getting Fortune. His redeployment trick is nice and his force weapon (fleshbane, AP3) is nice Wraith Knight/Daemon Prince insurance.

I think if I was going to run the list again I may drop the Serpents and Venoms, go full Jetbikes in Troops, and work in Warp Spiders and War Walkers.
