So if I were to buy the forgeworld Lord of Change or Great Unclean one would I be able to use them as a regular one? Considering using those Huge guys as a proxy for fateweaver and a great unclean one. I don't see where it would be illegal to use them since it would put me at a disadvantage by not being able to hide them behind anything, but I'm not sure if tourney's would allow this. Your thoughts dakka.

I would say they are a tad too big. I would say no purely out of reasoning that it would seem strange to have such massive daemons so weak.

As for whether or not a tournament would allow them, you would need to speak to the tournament organizer in question.

it might be a disadvantage for the cover however it is an advantage for assaults and for denying part of the table due to the huge footprint, specially Tz one which can fly around the table.

I would however allow it since they look badass

There are rules for those models in Imperial Armour: Apocalypse (2013)
Pretty sure they're Gargantuan Creatures...

While simultaneously being a disadvantage as it becomes easier to block off potential landing spots for the monstrous base. Also easier to both charge them and get more combatants into melee with them.

Our local game tournaments don't allow IA books or anything from escalation at this time. So I can't run the true stated monsters. People were allowed to use them in fantasy at my store, but you have a pure disadvantage there. 40k I guess it would make me easy to have a bigger footprint / block off more models.

I'm sure most people wouldn't mind a slight size difference
But these things are HUGE!
