When the server comes back I would advise nobody builds much as a restart is slightly needed.

How far is the server resetting?

The last save before someone bombed the manor presumably.

If it reset occurs it should be to whichever backup occurred before the 4:40 restart, which was just after the trap was triggered. Not sure how often the backups are made though. Should be a few hours at most.

When I posted regarding the bathroom I swept the manor for other changes and there was nothing in the spot the tower eventually would be.

because what you did wasn't that serious and wasn't full-on griefing. You just let your brother on (who griefed) and then plotted an attack.

Damn, I leave the server for one week and this is what I find when I come back.

Apparently, this looks like a "professional's work". I mean, building a tnt/lava trap on top of a tower? This isn't the usual sneaky chest robbery we know of.

My opinion on this? Some guy joined dakkacraft with the sole intent of spoiling our fun (i.e. probably one of the new guys that joined the server).

I spent a whole lot of tnt blowing a cavern below my house. If I have to resert the tnt no problem. but I hope I at least get it back.

When the server is returned to a previous save all the inventories are also set back.

Any idea when the server will be back up?

Well dark isn't on steam so probably not for a while.

It doesn't say it's down to me, just not White-listed.

I'm not on Steam on purpose. So I can get through the logs without being bugged :-P

We've decided as long as we get to kill the griefer and get a reset, we'll be happy.

Just an update on what's going on. I've restored just the Manor from backup, rather than the whole world, so only the Manor is rolled back to 12:00 today. I'm still keeping the server offline until I've identified the person who made the tnt/sand/lava tower.

Those of you who died in the lava and fires will have your inventories rolled back to before it happened.

I have a feeling you are talking to me with that last sentence but i don't know how you know...

In the logs it probably records peoples deaths and loss of inventory.

Along the lines of

14:23:39: That silly bugger has fallen in lava again. Dropped a diamond pickaxe, those don't come cheap, three stacks of stone and a cake. What the hell did he have a cake for? Expect PM #593 shortly with begging.

I totally had three stacks of creeper killing snowballs not stone...

Don't think anything else has been targeted. The rollback also only affects the Manor (like some kind of crazy time-bubble).

The deaths I know about because the log shows people typing "ah I'm dead again". I'll probably rollback the inventory of all those who were trying to put out the fires, unless you let me know you didn't die and it's ok.

i joined the server this week and have been doing a whole lot with sand but i do not own TNT. i have been far too busy dodging mobs while plotting out my sandstone wall.

Is my inventory being rolled back then?
My mine happened to be under a small volcano and i wasn't quite quick enough...

Manor area is totally repaired.
