So.. I was pondering on a bike army.. And the way I see it I have two primary choises.. Space Marines (With the White Scars chapter tactics) or Eldar. The marine bikers have longer range guns that are stronger, And has one more strength and toughness, And gets hit and run, While the Eldar bikers are ALOT faster (Potentially mvoe 60 inches in one turn..) so.. What one do people think would be the best for a bike heavy army?

White Scars! Lots of bikes, very competitive, and very fun to play.

Well, anyone with big-tournament experience will be able to attest that Jetbike Farseer council is one of, if not the strongest army out there right now. There is not much, if anything, that can neutralize it reliably.

White Scars are good, but not as competitive at a national level.

You know WS won at the FoB open, right? I believe at LVO as well.

The advantage of a Eldar Jetbike army would be that it isent a space marine army (I already got Grey Knights and Space Wolves) The short range of the guns would hurt a bit.. But they have a incredible speed...

White Scars can deal with melee better though due to 1 higher strength and toughness, Plus Hit and Run.. Both have advantages, And both are cool..

Also, What is a Jetbike Farseer Council Army? It is just a Jetbike army that has a farseer and warlocks on jetbikes?

Second at LVO, where they lost to Seer Council (in a super tight game).

Paul Murphy also did well with a White Scars Superfriends list at the TOF Invite.

I would go white scars just because of the fluff =P

It all comes down to dice rolls and how you play in the end!!

This is patently false as the white scars have won or went top 8 national level.

They came in second at LVO. They did very well for themselves overall too.

I play both and I would recommend the white scars. They fully utilize every aspect of the game, do not require allies to function, and create fun games on both sides. One of the great things is the bike units can be made to be good at pretty much anything; need infantry killing-flamers, need help with vehicles-melat or plasma, need to kill a Transcendent C'Tan-grav. Plus the models look great and you can get discount bikers from dark vengeance as long as you don't mind DA iconography. Also if you play this type of army you will laugh at all the people shooting that assault is dead.

The CWE jetbike seer council is brutal but absolutely requires a Hit and Run IC to be the power level it is (or really even function). The CWE windrider units are great at claiming objectives at turn 5-7 but they usually hide more than anything. The good is that they are hugely mobile and if you play a large number of them in a semi casual environment you can play the most mobile army in the game and have a lot of fun at it. The negatives are you cannot bring a huge number of bikers with different options and expect to have a balanced list. They are decent against infantry and MCs but cannot fully utilize all phases of the game as they are below average in assault and a little fragile due to their morale issues. The worst part is the models though. CWE biker models are a very old sculpt and look it. If you want to put in some serious work and money you can use reaver bikes with CWE parts.

The White Scars army is significantly cheaper. $40 gets you 63 points as opposed to 51 points on the table, so there is that.

If you don't like converting models, go White Scars. They already have an HQ on a bike model. Currently, there is no Farseer or Warlock model on jetbike, which means you would have to do some converting.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

I also find that white scars bikes look alot better than eldar jet bikes. (though dark eldar kick both their buts for cool looking). Also white scars have more variant for weapon load outs on bikes.

I have a Scar's army and I love them. The main advantage of Eldar I see is good Psychic powers - something marines dont really have.

I played my Scars in a 2k tournament last month. I placed 4th. But I was beated by an Eldar list with farseer jetbike council (he then went on to take second place).
