So, the past weekend I have been at the UK GT final, which is 1650pts 6 games 2.30 per game with rule book missions and no secondaries counting towards winning or losing the game. Stright win loss draw scoring with 25 (win) 10 (draw) 1 (loss) system. I had already quailfied from one of the three heats end of last year held across the country, coming 5th in possibly the most competitive heat in Warrington using a quite different list to what I am using for the final. Sadly no pics as most of the games were too tense!.

Based on the lists you played against and the order in which you played them, so probs top 10 if not top 5, I'll say top 5.

Also based on the lists and the description on the players, you played some good players, game 3 vs josh Roberts, not going to spoil it but based on the order of army lists I can guess the results of games 2 and 3, oh and also 1.

I missed the GT season this year, but I'll be attending this year at heat 3, and hopefully to the final.

Feel free to write your predications down of game 1 2 and 3 buddy!. I played 4 ETC players,all from the same darn team!.

GT heat 3 was really really good, one bad apple tried to spoil it but he had no chance. Everyone there was there for the right reasons and the atomsphere and the event was spot on. Def my fav of last year and the GT final will take some topping for this year!.

Yeah based on the results and the report that 40k global did, it seemed liked the hardest of the 3 heats. Well my first GT will be in September just before I start uni, it will be the northern warlords GT.

Yep NW GT is really good as well, went 4-nil on day 1 then got two losses on day 2, mainly due to ignore cover not affecting vehicles FAQ that did and played 2 Wave serpent spam armies on skyshields, fun!.

What's with the 2 almost identical Eldar armies? Hope you beat them to a pulp.

Jim, its a very strong list and good board control and resilience. Its quite dominating in the UK meta the moment!. I have had 4 games against it in tournies and not done too bad so far....

Good wins on #4 & #5. I have a feeling you end up best Daemon and 5-1.

Game 6 will be up tonight. A hint Jim, I dont go first and theres no night fighting, and I am facing a manticore and Exorcist both over str8 and over and both capable of insta killing a lot of the screamers!. Also the blob has Coatez (5+ DTW) sisters of battle for plus +1 DTW (4+ DTW in total ) and Night Shroud which I have to do a ld test otherwise I cannot shoot and it has hit and run!. It is also run by probably the best guard player in the UK.

Thanks DozerBlades, that was the inspiration I needed to get this done.

For everyone else, again sorry for the lack of pictures, but for me it is mainly about the gaming rather then the reporting, I just find it easier to concentrate on the games rather then taking pictures, and I usually forget to!. I have been trying out battle chronicler but the lack of 40k terrain on there just wasnt good enough, it seems really good for fantasy though. I will carry on trying out other programs if anyone can recommend them?.

Big congrats, I actually saw the final results on the death or glory blog, but well done nonetheless. Definately well worth the wait for all 6 battle reports. It's also given me some good tips for my screamer council play.

So what's your next big tournament now after this?

Next big one after this, well possibly brighton team tourny next weekend, may be needed as a last minute replacement. Then its Northern Warlords team tourny in June then Northern Warlords GT in September (possibly ribble rumble or Toy soliders in between). Personnaly I only go to the bigger national tournies.

Before that though, I have 3 Fantasy tournies booked up, and looking to get into a 100man plus one very soon!.
