Torture Victim in the Bowels of the Rock






I'm new to warhammer and have the dark vengeance set and dark angels codex. i came up with this list,

- Azrael
- Deathwing terminators(assault cannon)
- Deathwing terminators(cyclone missle launcher)
- tactical squad with vet(plasma pistol) plasma cannon and plasma gun.
- ravenwing bikes x3 with vet, and a plasma gun.

First welcome to 40k and I'm glad you choose DA. The list won't be the best out there but if you're playing a friendly game you should do ok. I would say play the list a few times and see what you like. Once you find out what you like or can make work for you then improve off that. If you have any more questions you can ask the other people on DakkaDakka or PM if you like.

You have a very solid start, should be fun for casual games.

I would drop the vet sarges. With Azreal, you have Ld10 across the army, so you are paying for an upgrade that gives +1 attack, which is fairly meh. I would also drop the plasma pistol for a combi plasma on the sarge. Since you will probably only be in pistol range 1-2 turns anyways, you can double tap your combi plasma and call it a day. The ravenwing sarge can take one too.

With spare points, consider melta bombs on the raven sarge, and a chainfist in each terminator squad. You are a bit light on the anti Av14.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.
