I have watered down as much as i could to make my Mechrite Red last as long as i can but im running low with 1/3 a sisters army painted using this red for cloth and on tanks.

Mephiston red is far to light and when i had one mini with khorn red cloth i could pick it out from half the room away.
Is there a good sub for Mechrite red? Maybe if i were to mix Khrone red and meph red? Or khorn red and some bone?

Or should i just cut my losses and go over all the robes and tanks i have painted with khorne red?

I ran out of mechrite quite a while back and simply couldnt find a good match, what i wound up doing was using Mephiston red and wash it with a black wash instead of a red wash.

I feel your pain tho.

Vallejo Game Color Heavy Red is very close, or at least it should be. The actual colors of the VGC series varies a tiny bit between batches and some are closer than others.

The Vallejo Game Color series is usually a better color match than new GW <-> old GW though...Their Bleached bone is very good for GW´s old bleached bone, for example.

Take a scroll down this sub-forum and I believe soitra is selling off quite a few of the old brand paints from the surplus stock of his local GW. He hasn't listed any, but you can always PM him as he *may* have some left.
