In this 40K video bat rep, Frankie and Dan try out the Asymmetrical Tournament missions the fellas back east have been working on.

I just relistened to the FtN podcast to make sure I wasn't missing anything and I think you guys were playing this mission incorrectly. I think you're supposed to be accruing 1 point per objective per turn that you control. So if you are holding 2 objectives for 4 turns you will have 8 points. The secondary mission is a huge points buff but it isn't the end all be all objective. It wants the armies to smash each other in the middle to get those points or you can hop onto objectives and just camp them. I got really excited when I heard about that these mission as they will knock down a lot of those armies that just shoot for last turn objective grabbing.

Where is this mission's rules? I checked all the ones in missioncatalog, but none of them mention anything about an 8 point central objective. Have I missed something?

Forgethenarrative.com just posted their beta test rules for the missions.

After reading some of the posts on FLG it seems that they were playing it correctly. It just didn't seem like it with the low a amount of points scored. I think instead of an objective in each corner they should set it up like a diamond. Two primary objectives on the edges of no man's land and one in each player's deployment. This will force the players to draw their units out of the deployment zone. It needs a little tinkering but I see nothing but good things to come with these missions.

Yeah, the points spread was a bit off. I think it needs some adjustment.

It can work with some adjustments. The batrep was very informative .

But I'm still confused on what mission this was? Because it certainly wasn't mission 1.

I had a blast playing this mission. I think the score, if using mission 1 on http://missioncatalog.com/ the score was something like 13-7 loss for DE. But not entirely sure because, well, I wasn't there

Keep up these batreps though! It's cool to see things like Crimson Slaughter, Knights, and alternate missions being played! I think you guys were the first to put out a 6th ed Nid batrep? And that's a track record. Keep up the good work

These missions were from the FTN guys, maybe a different set of missions than you played?

One player has Dark Eldar.
Another player has Tau.

Both players have Wraith Knights.

40K is so stupid right now...

They might get one eventually. CSM got some good things with the new codex.

Helldrake: the idea everyone liked, but the execution nobody wanted..

They may have gotten some good things but majority of the Codex was kicked in the crotch.
