Been tinkering away on these for a while. I wanted them to have a no-nonsense look without all the 'dangly bits' and slightly worn with dents and scratches but not overly as they're not supposed to last long in battle...

Cool action poses. The power sword DC is my favorite- nice unconventional use of those parts.

For the black I used a simple (but effective in my opinion) method for a worn look:

1) Prime black
2) Drybrush VMC* 166 Dark Grey
3) Drybrush VMC 164 Dark Bluegrey
4) Heavy Nuln Oil wash
5) Edge highlight VMC 162 Basalt Grey

* Vallejo Model Color

These are just amazing! The posing is as good as the painting. That guy with the Power Swords is stunning.

Those look great. The assault troop legs are so dynamic on tactical marines. It certainly add a lot and avoids them looking static. The black armor is great, and thanks for sharing the technique. The poses were top notch as well.

Genuinely fantastic modeling and painting dude, the crossed chainswords are phenomenal.

The powersword guy is prob the best looking Marine i've seen in donkeys years, you can just imagine that he fights swords pointed down.

@ Reptile the kneeling pose is indeed based on a Golden Demon entry. Alas I cannot remember the name of the painter so cannot give due credit but I remember thinking it looked so cool when I saw it and perfect for my Death Company!

Very nice work! I have yet to dive into my Death Company models, and this is a high bar for me to work towards! Btw, how was the wording done on the turret? Freehand or a custom decal?

You're right, the model is very cool indeed, I think it was called 'Target down', or something along those lines. I wouldn't mind trying to make one myself...although with a chaos version!

They feel like Death Company with a Ninja flavor. EPIC!
