I'm leaning towards loyalist armies such as ultramarins( know no fear and macragges honour are great) or maybe the fists. I was also considering istvaan ii armies such as luna wolves or emprahs children( because the ones that stayed loyal are awesome). What do you guys think?

I rather like Salamanders. Along with Wolves they're the only loyalists I actually respect.

I notice my posts seem to bring threads to a screeching halt. Considering the content of most threads on dakka, you're welcome.

Salamanders and then emperors children.

Its not about the type of weapon, its about how you use it.

What about something to do with the mechanicus?

After seeing all of those awesome FW models, If I was starting over I would make something using those guys for sure, especially the Tech Thralls and the Mymidons, although I have no idea what you could play them as.

Easy answer?

Ultramarines.... I savor the hate!

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

Definitely the Mechanicus. They look really divergent and the rules are supposed to really capture how differently they go about things too.

Yeah I love the UM, I am a fluff whore and have devoured almost every book and Audio Drama in the HH series, I genuinely think Gulliman is one of the most noble and likable primarchs and his troops are the most disciplined and organised.

I genuinely don't understand the hate for them, I am a grown man but I still don't like the idea of playing a villain, and no matter how you slice it, guys like Gulliman and Sanguinius are noble and stoic, and fethers like Kurze and Lorgar are utterly contemptible.

I wish you luck with your endeavors, whichever army you choose, its always enjoyable starting a new one from scratch, I have a Knight in the mail, but adding stuff to an existing army is never as much fun as starting over.

We'll met! Yes I too don't get all the ultramarines hate... They are a pretty badass legion. They have their flaws but every legion does. I too don't like traitor or villainous.

Please do not start threads that do not actually contain a topic of conversation that others can actually contribute to.

Simply asking: what should I do/buy, etc, is not a topic of conversation.

Please just imagine for a second if everyone on this forum posted their own version of this same thread…we would have pages, upon pages, upon pages of worthless threads of people just saying: 'you should start Blood Angels', 'no you should start Necrons', etc, etc, etc.
