I'm going to be starting a CSM nurgle foot slog army.

I usually base my C:SM with a small grain, painted sand with grass.
My Orks have a similar base.

I really don't want a pretty looking base for nurglers.

Any color or material suggestions?

I've been thinking this exact same thing all week. I am gonna be trying a Moot Green under the Agrellan Earth technical texture paint thing for my Death Guard and prolly just a simple Sand with Devlan Mud for the Plague Zombies...

I can't think of anything nurgling for my bases at all. I don't want my base to blend with my models. Maybe go with something grayish.

How about:

You do a base with pretty flowers and grass on, with the centre of back half covered it dead and dying grass/ flowers? like the true carriers of the blight they are?

Ive never seen it done, but a thought that popped into my head upon seeing the title of this post. checking the link yeh ive seen some really nice versions of that for CSM daemons
