I am brainstorming a Viking themed army, and have 20 archers... But I wasn't sure to do this as Empire or Chaos.... Does Chaos have archers?

dunno, what does their army book say?

Nope. No archers in WoC. The only ranged is a Hellcannon or throwing weapons for Marauder Horsemen.

Thank you. I guess I will use them to fill the ranks of Warriors of Chaos in the core. I also have 6 really cool Viking minis each on a 40mm base piled with dead, used as ogres, but they are berserkers!

Mmmm...I'd be hesitant to use small bases as monstrous infantry. They'd be too short, and it would be confusing enough to have a noticeable affect. I'd rather see them as chosen warriors or something like that, and put them on individual 25mm bases or combine into 50mm unit fillers.

That or use them as beastmen? I think that might actually even work better, unarmoured and battle-hungry as they are.

Beastmen also have archers, of a sort, so PirateRobotNinjaofDeath's suggestion works doubly well.

If you are thinking about chaos DoC have flamers and burning chariots which are pretty awesome
