So in my 30K list I have 2 tactical squads each with an apothecary w/ Augury Scanner. Since the scanner allows the unit to have Interceptor can the Fury of the Legion special shooting action be used alongside Interceptor? The idea is to line up both effects since they both prevent the unit from firing their weapons in their next shooting phase anyway.

I don't believe so as the Fury of the Legion rule specifies that the squad "...can elect to make a Fury of the Legion attack in the Shooting phase...".
Interceptor shots are made at the end of the Movement phase and so you would not be able to choose to make a Fury of the Legion attack.

I wonder why the augury scanner rule mentions "..can also be attacked by a unit carrying an Augury Scanner in the shooting phase...". Interceptor special rule from sixth edition seems to be same as far as "end of the movement phase". So I'm wondering why the addition of a shooting phase mention in the augury scanner rule to begin with. Seems it might indicate a slight change to the interceptor ability in the case of augury scanner?
If the intention was to grant Interceptor then why not word it that way? E.g. units equipped with an augury scanner gain Interceptor for any rapid fire or heavy weapons they have.
