I am thinking about creating an Imperial Guard army with champagne armor and red fatigues.

For the red I'll most likely use Mephiston Red, but I wonder what color from the GW chart comes close to champagne - can someone please help? Here's my planned scheme for orientation:

2000 l 2000 l 2000 l 1500 l 1000 l 1000 l Blood Ravens (using Ravenguard CT) 1500 l 1500 l
Eldar tactica l Black Templars tactica l Tau tactica l Astra Militarum codex summary l 7th ed summary l Tutorial: Hinged Land Raider doors (easy!) l My blog: High Gothic Musings

Silver with a wash.
Something lighter than sepia.

Could possibly do it with a blend of gold and silver and highlight of silver (pigment will look different than coloured pixels, though - because they do. ALL colours in pixels make white. In pigments, all colours make beigey pinky colour)

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

I don't think there is anything in the GW range that is all that close to champagne so you could mix your own if you wanted. Even if you aren't the strongest when it comes to color theory (I know I'm not...), champagne is a near beige color with a yellow-orange tint so that is a good place to start.

These colors from the Reaper Master Series paint range seem close, but it is hard to judge with a computer monitor.

Are you just going to be using GW colours?

Hmm maybe my description wasnt too accurate.

I was intending to go non-metallic.

I thought something along the lines of the old Bleached Bone, but less "yellowy", so mix it with a bit of Codex Grey to get the yellowness down?

It's basically a very light tan color. Leaning more towards the grey side than the yellow side (the IG Tallarn scheme for example would be too yellow)

Tau Light Ochre would be waay off.

What do you nthink of (in order: gw/old gw/vmc) kommando khaki/karak stone/khaki, or bubonic brown/zamesi desert/plague brown maybe mixed with white or something like that?

yeah I figured karak stone is probably the GW color that comes closest to what I'm looking for.
