Greetings all.

I've got a club tournament coming up and could do with a bit of advice on my list:

Kairos Fateweaver 300

11 Pink Horrors of Tzeentch 99
11 Pink Horrors of Tzeentch 99

15 Flesh Hounds of Khorne 240

Tzeentch Daemon Prince: Psyker (Mastery Level 3); Greater Reward; Exalted Reward; daemonic flight; Warp-forged Armour. 355
Tzeentch Daemon Prince: Psyker (Mastery Level 3); Greater Reward; Exalted Reward; daemonic flight; Warp-forged Armour. 355

Aegis Defence Lines 50

1,498 points

Pretty standard fare really. The princes take the portal and the grimoire and fly around causing havoc. The horrors stay in reserve and then walk on to home objectives and the flesh hounds do what they do (buffed with grimoire/endurance/forewarning/invisibility etc). The aegis is there to provide cover for my scouting hounds if I go second, while the princes and Fateweaver cower behind LOS blocking terrain.

Thoughts?

In my experience it's really hard to run a flying circus at 1500 pts. I am by no means an expert at playing the flying circus, but there are many experienced daemons players that would tell you the same.

Unless you are set on running that list, I would switch to a hound rush type list or possibly a hound rush/screamerstar hybrid. I have been playing with the latter recently. For me, it's fun to play and is very capable of giving tau and eldar fits, which I like very much

If you are set on flying baddies, however, there is only on suggestion I might make: Heldrake. If you lose the hounds, one greater reward (probably from the portal prince), and two Horrors, you can ally CSM with a barebones sorcerer, 10 cultists, and Heldrake. Lands you at 1500 on the nose.

Hmm interesting thoughts, thanks for the input. What is it that you think makes it hard to run the circus at 1500?

looks like a solid foundation. However, I would never field my flying circus without a LoC. I would replace one DP with him. Also frees up some extra points!

...that big sanction stamp of APPROVAL means it's OFFICIAL. No, I don't have to ask you for permission. D-cannons win games.
