A very well painted collection! I like how you have a mix of newer and older models, especially that Dreadnought. The paint scheme for the Chaos Marines is also very lovely. It's a nice change up from your regular red and brass you see on Khorne marines, but there is no doubt that they're Khorne when you look at them. It's definitely a well-executed idea!

If I had to make any suggestions, I would say that maybe your metallics on those Marines could use a bit more of a wash to make them seem more grim and dirty, but that's more of a personal preference over a lack of technique on your part.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing more of your work! Keep it up!

Great to see those 1st Bloodletters are still being used! Must be around 25 years old now. Also love the dread - wish I had picked one up at the time but, back then, I thought Chaos was a cheater's army!!
Where did you get the little green dragon from - very funky.
Love that you've used that bright green to contrast with the red & like Hotrod says the colour of the marines really works.

Ah and the little green chap is the bat or imp that comes with the warhammer vampire with the single wing extended (mine was the metal one so could repose the wings!). He is kinda cute!

Wow, I absolutely love how unnatural the old bloodletters look. I need to find some, now! The picture of the entire squad in a line is just beautifully abstract. Also, I love bright green, but I find it odd on Khornate models. But to each their own.

I've just finished a unit of 3rd ed blood letters (AXES!) pics soon as they are based tomorrow...

Then its a unit of 2nd ed ones to do (Frustratingly I've lost the banner top! so will have to make one!)

Then I think its time to make a rhino and a daemon prince!

I did write a brief backstory on another forum, but it's gone walkies...

But the basic idea is a noble, hard hitting space marine chapter, being 'cursed' by Khorne after besting a difficult enemy and being forced by circumstance to use a relic that would have appeared to be untouched by chaos (sealing their fate). The entire chapter then proceeds to undo every noble deed, and seek nothing but the destruction of everything they come into contact with. Khorne also curses them by providing generous daemon support - that the fallen chapter cannot harm (much as they have tried) but ensure their success in every endeavor - thus driving the chapter into ever greater heights of fury, rage and hate - of everything they were...

Like the choice of colours, old school dread looks great.

Thank you! - I tried to copy the 2nd Ed rule book pictures of it as closely as I could - Not something I would normally do, but it just seems the 'right' colour scheme for it.
