Apparently it is a prototype US tank from 1942 that was never put into production.

It has that boxy Imperial style, small wheel suspension and plenty of space for attaching more weapons on the side and top.

Being a prototype it is not obviously a real world vehicle.

Pop a high boxy battle cannon turret on top and it could pass for one of those Krieg siege master tanks (Ragnorak?) GW did for Epic.

It looks roomy too so you could take the turret off and use it as a Chimera Kangaroo.

Cozy cockpit of an Archer ARC-5S

Why turn a Chimera into a Kangaroo when it's already an APC though?

Because it would be a bit fun, a bit different. You know, rule of cool stuff.

Looks too much like a sherman with the turret.

Hi everyone,
This tank is the M6 heavy tank that was indeed produced by the Americans. It was actually produced in limited numbers and was used during publicity stunts during the war. Unfortunately, being a 1/35 scale kit it will probably be far to big for use in 40k games, with maybe the exception of being used as a super heavy tank of some sort. In addition to this, I can tell you now that DML kits take some time to construct, so for war-gaming it may be a long build process. But it may work as a 40k tank, if you can handle a long build process........

Yep, the M6 was one of the first US heavy tank projects during WW2. A few of them were actually made, but it wasn't thought to be very practical, so it didn't see any actual combat.

The M6 has a huge body and relatively small turret. In 1/35 it's big, about 24 cm long, almost 10". Basically a narrow Baneblade, I suppose you could widen it out with some plasticard.

I think it could work as a CRASSUS ARMOURED ASSAULT CARRIER.

The M6 is one of my favourite tanks in World of Tanks. Great at sniping from a hull-down position then when the enemy try to get close, you just ram them with your massive hull.

To 40k it, I think the best approach would be to cut off most of the engine compartment and make the whole thing about 3" shorter.
