The Colonial
GT Scoring
Points that are generated during the tournament will be maintained by the judges. At the beginning of the event a score card will be given to each player to record their game progress. At the end of the game, it is the player's responsibility to ensure that a judge receives a score card after each game. Please record your score accurately to the judges, fill out the entire card; how many points you each scored, as well as the name of your opponent.
You and your opponent must hand in the card to the judge at the same time, no score cards will be accepted without the other.
Scoring for each game is as follows:
Unless specified differently by victory conditions in the scenario, players win the game if they have more than 300 points than their opponent. If the game is separated by 0‐299 points, the game is a draw. The player that has less than 300+ points loses the match (
WHFB).
Loss earns 5 battle points, Draw earns 10 battle points, win earns 20 battle points.
Each game will have up to five bonus points possible for a maximum possible score of 25 points per game. The maximum number of battle points for the 5 game event is 125points
Appearance Scoring
The Appearance Score will be evaluated by an appointed judge who will use a checklist that outlines certain standards that will have to be met to receive points in the respective categories. The checklist outlines requirements such as the theme of the army, conversions, and the overall technique used to paint the army.
You may have other
GW models to represent units and characters. THEY MUST clearly represent the model in question, i.e., a Balrog model can't represent a winged Vampire Lord. Models should approximate as close as possible the character they are representing. If you have any questions about the suitability of the model, please ask a judge.
Bases with no models on them, or just legs, will not be accepted. You will be asked to remove the model from the table and will not be able to use them for the duration of the event. This also covers models not completely put together. If you use a model that is visually smaller than what it is representing, it must still follow the rules that
GW has set aside for base size and scale.
Paint judging will be scored between 0‐50 using the checklist which I will provide. In case of a tie for the Best Appearance Award, it will come to a vote by the judges to declare a winner.
Game Play
At this event we want good play, not only in terms of skill and victory on the tabletop, but also being fair and decent to your opponents. Play hard, play to win, and always to be a good sport.
Rules disputes should be handled in a mature manor. Bullying, intimidating and yelling will not be tolerated. Refer to your
FAQ's, core rule book and army books to handle any questions that arise during the game. If a judge is called to handle the issue, their word is final, whether you agree with them or not. Arguments with the judge can have you excused from the event. Judges also have the right to excuse a player from the event if the player has demonstrated unruly and inappropriate behavior. There is no refund if you are excused.
