Hello All I've finally been galvanized to get of my tush and start a Pblog of my stuff here on Dakka. I've got a bunch of other logs elewhere so I'll be combining em all into this one. Hence the Table of Contents I intend to flesh out as I get stuff consolidated here.

Awesome looking board.

Looks like it slightly warping towards the bottom of your post, is it strengthened in anyway?

Regarding the helmets, ultramarines and blood angel helmets would be my votes.

They are actually pretty level the appearance of warping was mostly the angle of the photo.

Well If you're ever in the Boston Area the trench board is currently in residence at Battleground Games in Abington MA.

Started a new project (for a small scale event out near me) A force of Terminator themed Necrons. Ive got four assembled (I just need to do GS work on the torsos, and sculpt a few hands and other details.) I should get some pics up tomorrow at some point.

Jesus Harold Christ you have been busy, my friend.

The Plaza:

Very nice stone effect on the…well, stone.

The pedestal is nice and detailed, I’d personally leave the mould lines as they are and just paint them a slightly different colour, adds to the old stone effect.

I wasn’t sold on the brass effect but found myself liking it the longer I looked and found myself really digging the overall effect.

The ‘pigeon poo’ effect on the second guardsman pedestal had me lolling, very nice touch.

The dirt and grass effects are nice and crisp, especially the grass between the tiles on the walkway.

I like how you’ve finished the Aquila too.

Larva scape:

I’m never really sold on the lava style scenery but with all the sallies on there it really brings it to life for me.

The lava is painted nicely and the volcanic earth is nice and not over done.

Tyranid board

The digestion pool is good but I would have liked to have seen some kind of fauna spreading from it and taking over a bit.

Trenches

Very, very nice mate. The collapsed trench section fully painted brought back vivid memories of reading the ghost books for the first time. Just how I’d pictured some of the descriptions.

Very nice work with the planking and the debris.

I felt a little bit deflated when I saw the extra terrain pieces that were placed on top of the board when it was being played, felt like it took away from the fantastic job you’ve done on it.

Nurgle army

Very nicely done.

Termichrons

Absolutely love them mate, making them look more badass and less fragile than the normal pose makes them look.

The dual wielding lasguns are brilliant too.

Will the termichrons be used as part of an admech army or are they just display?

Thanks It came together really well. Hirst arts molds are really handy for decorative details.

Thanks I was considering it but had limited bits at the time, and wanted to leave as much space open for dudes (as 'nids can generate a ridiculous body count.)

Sorta but the additional terrain actually just makes it even better to play on, the ruins I made for it really do blend in tho once they are on the actual table.

No worries they are actually going to be the basis of my 2nd 40k army. The repose was stolen from a few reposes folks have done.

Well I got the first round of GS done last night. (more remains to be done.) GSed the torsos of all the standard Termichron chassies, (still need to do hands here and there) Started on GSing the "flayed one," and the "Pariah" I'll get pics up later .

nope but the pic makes the paint look like it's lighting up. Its a progressive fade (dark blue to white.)
