Looking for a good addition Solo to my small 24 point army. At the moment im running MOW Shocktropers, Widowmakers, and the Khador battle box. Looking for a good 1 or 2 point solo. I do plan on going with winter guard or doom reavers in the future to bump to 35 points or so if that makes a difference in my choice...

Lots of good 2 point merc solos...Gorman is great.

For one point you can get Reinholdt. He is good for some casters, but not all. Not sure who you are running.

Aiyana and Holt are a bit more spendy, but help you deal with magical weapon issues and high ARM.

Sorscha certainly won't mind Wyshnalyrr over the War Dog. The saved focus on Fog of War is nice, and the range bonus plus S&P on a spell is fantastic for landing Tempest and Freezing Grip.

One point left? Wardog, no question.

Two points, one of the Mercs, Gorman or Wyshnyllr (however you spell it). Only thing is, ward of and Wyshnyllr can't be taken together.

Looking for a club in Brisbane, Australia? Come and enjoy a game and a beer at Pubhammer, our friendly club in a pub at the Junction pub in Annerley (opposite Ace Comics), Sunday nights from 6:30. Battlebox caster would be pScorsha.

OT: looks like you're wanting a gobber tinkerer, because he can repair your tough jacks for only 1 point.

I had no idea I could choose some mercs to go with my Khador!?!? Is it just solos you can get from merc or other things too. I like the look of Eiryss, Mage Hunter of Ios or Gorman di Wulfe, Rogue Alchemist for another solo. Or I might just go Manhunter or wardog...

Mercs are great options on a few solos

Gorman
Epic Eiryss
Ariyana and Holt
Wyshnyllr
Reinholt

The above are widely used amoung all the warmachine factions that can take them.

Wardog or Reinholt are good one point options

I like to say I have two armies: Necrons, and Imperium.....

Sorscha loves the Wardog, it makes her basically untouchable in melee combat and it is a steal for a point.

After a few games with it, it will become a priority target. People unload hell upon my little pooch.

The Ironfang Kovnik will give your Shield Wall-ing Shocktroopers +2 movement and puts a POW 12 Weaponmaster with +2 ARM in melee onto the table. Otherwise, I second Sylys Wyshnalyrr for the free upkeep.

For one point, you gotta go Wardog

For two points, go Iron Fang Korvik.

Check the cards. Individual mercenaries (casters, solos, units) can either work for a number of 'main' factions (see their cards for who they will work for) and if they'll work for yours, you can take them. Simple as.

The other option with Mercs is by following a contract, you can build all-merc armies.

It can keep Tough. While knocked down, it doesn't do any of its mean tricks.

I love the looks on people's faces when they find out it had 1)more than one damage point and 2)has tough.

Can't wait to run my Butcher3 theme list with 3 in it.
