marauder horsemen x10, mark of tzeentch, shields, javelins, champ, musician, standard bearer blasted standard= 235 points

warriors of chaos x11, mark of tzeentch, shields, halberds, champ, musician, standard bearer, banner of swiftnes= 265 points

warhounds x10 vanguard, mutant poisons= 90 points

Few things.

Firstly, Lore of Tzeentch is more or less pointless on the warriors, as they aren't running sword and board their ward save is only 6++ so your using 22 points on something which might only save one man.

Secondly, it's probably best to split the warhounds into two units and drop the poison, they aren't there to kill they are there to die and direct.

Thirdly, your marauder horsemen cannot take a magic banner.

Hope this helps.

Is taking nothing but core units a requirement or are you just using models that you own? Because you're missing out on a few really strong selections by doing this.

It seems you are going for a Tzeentch theme, but honestly it's a really ineffective mark on Marauder horsemen and smaller units of Warriors. The Warriors are pretty much your only hitting power in this list, so would be much better off with Halberds and either Mark of Khorne or Nurgle.

As for the Marauder horsemen, with their current loadout they aren't really geared to perform any role well. The javelins are useless and they aren't going to do anything in combat.

Something I've had reasonable levels of success with in small games is having units of 5, with Flails, Light Armour, Marks of Khorne and a Musician. You can then park a unit of 5 war hounds in front of them to provide a screen. It gives you a relatively inexpensive unit that clears chaff really well and can possibly even add some support to a combat with a flank or rear charge.

It's by no means an outstanding build and don't expect them to hold up in combat by themselves, but in smaller games I've found it at to be most effective.

As stated above, the Warhounds should be 2 units of 5 and taken without poison.

Warhammer is the right of all sentient nerds!
