The British tended to paint all of their vehicles used in Europe the same colour:

cannot correlate their innate inferiority with their inevitable
defeat. It would seem that stupidity is as eternal as war.'

I haven't had an issue with Model Color going through my Patriot 105. I thin it with matte medium and Vallejo Airbrush Thinner.

And many people don't know how to thin paint properly.

I think you're supposed to apply water to the burned area. Correct?

Lets all be nice.

Sing, You can indeed use Model Color through your airbrush. Its a matter of thinning properly and using the right amount of PSI for your airbrush. I find that with Model color I use about 1:1:2 Paint/ Matte Medium/ Thinner. This works for me with the darker Model Colors, and I shoot it between 15-20PSI. You just need to play with it and find what works for you.

Agreed Model Color works great through an Airbrush try using some Drying retarder or easy flow to help with the clogging.

If he doesn't want Model Color - but still wants Vallejo - they have other options:

http://www.acrylicosvallejo.com/en_US/us-army-olive-drab/family/17/117

Their AFV painting sets are actually pretty good - comes with a short tutorial that explains all the how's and when's for the different paints in the kits. Prethinned Air Color paints too - so there you go.

For a specific break down, you can find (without much difficulty) copies of the instructions for that Tamiya tank online. They give pretty useful painting indicators. Then you can use a site like this one:

http://scalemodeldb.com/paintcharts/vallejo

And identify a Vallejo paint that works instead of the Tamiya color. IPMS and other sites also have conversion charts which will work too.

Not sure what burns have got to do with thinning paint....
