Ok, this thread assumes that you have read the Eisenhorn and Ravenor trilogies, and "Pariah", all by Dan Abnett.

There will be spoilers in here, but I'll put a warning in the title so we can skip the bother of spoiler tags, for those who don't want to use them.

What want to know is, which inquisitor would you rather serve with/under?
Would you have the grim, magnificent B stard Gregor Eisenhorn, or would you rather work with his Professor-X style protégé, Gideon Ravenor?
Also, which one of their operatives do you like most, either to read about, or to imagine fighting beside?

Emil Darkhammer.
1. No compromise with daemons, xenos, mutants or heretics.
2. Puts radicals in their place.
3. Best name ever.

A true and faithful man's Inquisitor.

Ah, perhaps I should have been more specific, I meant which inquisitor out of the two I mentioned - Eisenhorn and Ravenor - rather than just "your favourite inquisitor..." still, fair point, Darkhammer is a very cool name!

Eisenhorn.

I've always wanted to become a Daemon Host, which happens unreasonably often to those who serve under him...

Aye, and I confess, I am a big fan of Cherubael, though I can't say I fancy getting possessed.

I would choose Eisenhorn, his mentality is incredible, the end justifies any means, sacrifice the few to save the many, fight fire with fire etc. Plus his anti-hero fall from grace is a bit tragic.

But Ravenor is so loyal, he chose a desk job to save Eisenhorn, he's pretty radical himself though too.

Can I not just bounce between the two of them? Loads of people do it...

After hearing (reading) this, how could you not choose Eisenhorn?

Favorite? Eisenhorn, easily. That 'worn out old man' is insanely powerful. And a lot scarier than he looks.

My favorite side-kicks ended up being the ones I read about the longest, the two that transferred from Eisenhorn to Ravenor. If I had to be an Inquisitorial Henchman, I'd have to pick working for Ravenor, precisely -because- I'm less likely to become a Daemonhost. And how could you not want to work with a Professor-X? (I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that).
