Hey there, so as the title says I wrote a 1500 point list with the hope of being able to destroy my friend's Tigirius (IDK if that's spelt right)

HQ
Commander 189 points
(TL Fusion Blaster, TL Plasma Rifle, Stim Injector, 2 Shield Drones)

2 Crisis Bodyguards 136 points
(1 Fusion Blaster, TL plasma rifle)
(TL fusion blaster, 1 plasma rifle)

Troops
12 Fire warriors 108 points
12 Fire warriors 108 points

ELites
3 Crisis Suits 171 points
(2 fusion blasters + Vectored Retro Thrusters)

3 Crisis Suits 156 points
(2 plasma rifles)

3 Crisis Suits 141 points
(2 burst cannons)

Heavy Support
3 Hammerheads
(Longstrike, Submunitions, Disruption Pod)

(Submuntions, Disruption Pod)

(Ion Cannon, Disruption Pod)

The plan would be to have the Fire Warriors sitting back waiting for his marines to march into rapid fre range, with 24 fire warriors drop pods would be fatal, especially with a crisis squad waiting too. The other Crisis Suits + Commander would jump to his side and crossfire his HQ and heavy infantry (inc. centurions). The fusion blaster crisis suits would jump up, pop a tank, and fall back to the main squad of forward positioned crisis suits. The Hammerheads would drop pie plates into infantry mobs, and fire solid shots into Tigirius and his posse.

Freebooters>Freeloaders, but what do I do if I'm both???

Twin-Linking a BS5 guy is overkill so, just have two guns, PR/FB and we'll get to some TwinLinkage in a minute. Kit your Cmdr out like so: PR, FB, Irid Armor, VRT, & PENChip. Stims too, if you want.

GDs are better than SDs as they do the same job (Look Out, Sir!), but shoot. Also, once your Cmdr is Armor 2+, you'll have him tank wounds and Look Out, Sir! AP2 wounds to the drones anyway.

Awright, let's re-config the whole thing:
Make one Elite team with PR/FB & Target Lock for two guys. Upgrade the 3rd to Vre, MSS/C&CN. Your Commander joins them. Take one of your other XV8s, and promote to a 2nd HQ (PR/FB), and have him join this crew. Keep a few GunDs. Now you have 2 Cmdrs, shooting at BS5, Twin-Linked, Ignores Cover with PRs & FBs, plus two other XV8s with the same great AP guns. Not much withstands that firepower. One of the only things I didn't kill with it was the Transcendental C'Tan. I have been using this combo off and on for months.

Take the "Advanced Targeting System" for the Cmdrs and your Precision Shots (for Tiggy) increase. He won't survive a FB wound.

Burst Cannons are a waste on your XV8s. Yank 'em off and go Helios (PR/FB) pretty much every time in this edition. FWs & your tanks having SMS will fulfill your high volume anti-I needs. And his Centurions will cry at the AP 2&1 your throwing at him, instead of shrugging off AP5 with 2+ saves.

Got Kroot? FWs are great with an ethereal, but just two units without is meh. Fielding 36 with an ethereal is the way to go, if you're going to use FWs.

If you are keeping the 12 FWs you posted, I'd split them to three units of 9.
As posted: With two units of 12, your enemy must kill 4 FWs each (8 total) to cause morale checks.
My option: With three units of 9, your enemy must kill 3 FWs each (9 total) to cause morale checks in those 3 units. Less per unit, but more overall.

You've increased your ability to hold objectives and overall, your scoring units are hardier and tougher to take out as splitting your enemy's fire weakens him.

Hope for the Warlord trait that is the no-scatter Deep Strike. Got a ADL? Upgrade to the Com-Relay to increase your Reserve rolls, and DSing in your 4 teams of XV8s in one go ought to flash his TiggyCenturionStar into mists of offal and blood on Turn 2 (borrowing from Ciaphas Cain's descriptions of melta blasts on people).

Second most of what brother E said. The kingfisher build, as he is talking about will make VERY quick work of the centaruions and tiggy. One thing to consider adding would be the neuroweb jammer. If I have spare points, I never leave home without it. I am not so certain about the advanced targeting systems as he can LOS the shot on a 2+, but if you have spare points and a spare system slot, sure.(although I would take the neuroweb first).

If your taking 4+ gun drones in a squad with a commander, a drone controller is pretty nice, but not required.

Unless your going farsight enclave, you don't need burst cannons on your suits as brotherE said.

I always put D-pods on my hammerheads/ionheads/skyrays. It is quite possible tiggy will have ignore cover, so I could understanding not taking them if your concerned about it.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

(nicely) I guess you must be, since you left off the essential buffing items.

Now, equip the Vre with MultiSpectrumSuite and Command/Control/Node. Read what they do.

The Vre upgrades are not needed for these last two units, only the first one. Also, why not switch the guns to PR/FBs? Are they glued on?

With the 22 points left over put a drone in the squad. Hit & run with initiative 2 sucks. You need to roll a 1 in order to get out. Using the drone's initiative of 4 will give you a much better chance of getting out of combat on a 1, 2 or 3
