Looking for 3 main pieces of advice for the small force I've got (it's 2 5 man SM squads(one in lascannon razorback), a libby and a dread in a drop pod
The dread has assault cannon (it looks cool and it's featured in the DoW cinematic)
Main questions are
1) What chapter tactics? I'm thinking UM purely for versatility, or even using the DA codex for div+stubborn shenanigans
2) should I get rid of Libby's mastery lvl 2/ assault cannon on dread?
3) will I get utterly rolled in small friendly 500 games?

(oh, the 2 tac squads have a HB and a Plasma gun)


There's also 15 points left over that I'm unsure how to use.

To answer your questchins:
1). I would say ultrasmurf tactics should do, at 500 pts it dosent matter much.
2). No. Libby is way more fluffy for a blhud rehven force, and a level 2 psyker can wreak havoc upon your enemy in a 500 pt. battle.
3). Depends. If your enemy takes 500 points of boyz then yes.
4). for the leftover 15 points you can take 2 Storm Bolters for the tactical squad seregants and then one additional storm bolter for this razorback of yours

Also i suggest changing the TL Lascannon on the razorback to either an Assault Cannon, or a Heavy Bolter. If you take the heavy bolter you should be able to take an assault cannon on the dreadnought.

I don't think you should get hammered at 500pts
I recommend some metal bawkses for your force. As well as being (kinda) fluffy (usimg Do2 as my reference here) I find that rhinos tend to come in really useful in 500-600pts
