Just wanted to know is anyone has played it and if so your opinion of it. I play it a lot and haven't really come across anyone else who plays it that much.

Very good game, does a great job at simulating a zombie apocalypse. Could have used more elaborate missions. DLC isn't worth it.

Yeah some of the missions become quite repetitive yet I like the DLC just because of the unlockable characters, gives you more reason to hunt down hordes of zombies rather than avoid them until you have to deal with them. It also gave me a chance to do some the missions I would usually avoid.

Its good at the start but you quickly run out of things to actually do.

Did they get rid of the mechanic where your neighbours are all killed when you stop playing for the night? If not, State of Decay remains the worst game I ever bought.

This was my issue as well. I like the game's format, but things like fatigue and injuries stacking over time, characters constantly going missing and needing to be chased down, and the repetitiveness of it just suck all the fun from the game after a few hours. It becomes a lot of work and very little play.

I hated that...they were always on the other side of the map as well. I think that the problem with this game is that is is basically too easy, I was never really threatened and the survival aspect of the game was really quite shallow. Then again it is a budget game and I got my moneys worth out of it.

I presume so as this never happened to me (that I can remember)

Do bad things still happen between play sessions? That's the thing I'm talking about. It's just so obscenely obnoxious for a game developer to have the audacity to punish me for not playing their game 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Not that I noticed, possibly some food and the like got used but I can't remember anyone dying for example.

Plus, it's designed specifically so you can't play it 24/7. If you play too long in a day, a character's fatigue stops filling all the way. You actually are required to stop playing to rejuvenate your playable characters.

But yes, the game is stupidly repetitive after a point. I had to quit after trying to binge play it and got all my playables but one killed and basically need to restart it.
