Subject: Introducing Victory At Sea game 1st trailer
Hi all, Some of you may know I am a keen Blood Bowler and Warhammer Grey Seer, but in my spare time I also make games.
And I can finally I can show you our first trailer based on Mongoose publishing's Victory At Sea! This is strategy with a difference, you can re-enact historical battles, set up point based RTS battles or tell your own story. In the campaign mode you can take part in epic naval warfare across the entire Pacific, Atlantic and Med. You start off as a destroyer Captain and can go through the ranks, eventually commanding huge and customisable fleets. There are currently 65 classes of ships from torpedo boats to subs, to aircraft carriers. It's been a bit of a labour of love to be honest, hope you enjoy!
Coming soon to desktop and mobile.
Thanks!
James

Thanks for the interest! We don't have a traditional turn based version. We do have a time slider which can slow the whole battle down to a crawl. That allows you to give commands quickly and simply to individual ships or the whole fleet! We are aiming at real easing the desktop version in the summer and releasing for tablets and mobile in the autumn!
You can go to http://www.victoryatseagame.com and sign up for news and we are hoping to give out options for getting early versions
Cool! Yeah hopefully it'll be right up your street. We have been having loads of fun playing it as well as making it so hopefully everyone else enjoys it!
Thanks! We have used all the stats for the ships and the mechanics are there from the core game. There are a few additions and surprises that can be covered in a game like this but can't be covered in the tabletop version. We have set up a 'tide of war' which is what we have programmed in to allow the world to live and breathe around the player. Things are constantly happening. Convoys are moving around the environments supplying ports, any you attack will have a direct affect on the port it was meant to supply
That sounds excellent! I'm glad to hear that you are expanding beyond the remit of the board game, making use of the expanded options presented by the video game format while keeping the core fundamentals of the rules system.
Cheers yeah we are all round gamers. We love the original battle game but love strategy PC games too so felt it would be a shame to not take advantage of the possibilities of the tech!
After watching this video I have "liked" you on FB as i hope I'll be notified when this game will be released.
Congrats on the work looks great! This is exactly the type of game I enjoy playing and I shall def purchase this when released!

Thanks so much! I will definitely keep you posted. We are busting to let people play it, hopefully be some opportunities to play it sooner but I will let you know
Cool, right now for my personal computer I am limited to an Apple laptop but have a windows virtual machine running on it too. I keep hoping to get a decent desk top system but other priorities seem to come up (vet bills for one of the horses or dogs, new brakes on one of my trailers and so on and on and on...)

Cool, I am playtesting it on an apple laptop right now and it's playing fine (Plus you can crank the graphical settings down if need be!)
