A US TD list should be interesting, all those special rules, fast vehicles and attached recon should be fun.
Still you may end up better off with Sherman 76's. US TD's are intended for hit and fade, other races use TD's for brute defensive work.
I am however biased against your list anyway, Patton is turning up like Eldrad, there for every battle. Each to their own but I don't like special characters in
FoW, especially for regular list builds.

I'm sure that this has already been asked, but what is the general preference of Hellcat vs M10? It would be better for me to get M10s so i could also use them with my British army, but I think Hellcats are better...
British M10's had a different paint job, gun and crew uniform, so it might be best to buy different tanks for them. Thisis of itself an excuse to get Hellcats for variety.
Hellcats are faster but is the speed needed? I dont think so, lets look at this historically. The M10 was more popular with crews because its turret stopped bullets, the M18 was more feared by the Germans because of its speed, however this was only truly scary because by the time the Hellcat entered active service the Panzerwaffe did not have the resources for maneuver battle.
Now the vulnerabilities of the M18 play out in game, but the reason why the mobility mattered does not, if 1945 era Panzers had to roll a dice to move, then having Hellcats turn the flank would be scarier than it is.
All in all its up to you, both are fast, both have the same gun (the M18 with the 17pdr never reached US service until after the surrender). They are near identical so take what you want.
For what its worth I will likely only buy the M10, barring some crazy miniatures offer; and may not buy any at all being largely content with a Sherman 'horde' list. My preference largely stems from the fact that a bit of armour will be useful when things go wrong, and more crucially the M10 served in Italy and Normandy, wheras the M18 is available very late in fact when most of the critical fighting was done. Modeling western front post Ardennes campaign is rather pointless so you really have only one campaign to focus on.
