What are the best tier lists in Warmhordes ?

I think eVayl's list for Legion receives a lot of love, since it seems to have everything that you would basically want in a Legion army.

I'm sure some good players may know all of it's bad matchups and what not, but I really think it's one of the top-tier tier lists.

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

Absylonia and keross 2 are only tier list i know of being really good, but there must others.

Vayl2 is the most played by far.

Though I think if you want to play an army with the best overall quality of Tier lists go with Skorne. Skorne doesn't have any A+ casters like Cygnar, LoE or Cryx but almost everyone of our casters are in the B range and so are most of their tier lists.

Rasheth t4 is so good that, like Vayl2, almost all Rasheth lists are in Tier. A 1 point deduction on all heavies, plus you can take Gatormen Posse in tier with the Pain Giver Task Master who gives them Tough, No Knockdown.

pMorgoul also gives a 1 point discount to heavies though it's not as good as Rasheths IMHO as you have to take two units of Arcuarii. But it's still rediculously good.

Xerxis T2 can be devestating, 30+ high arm, multi-wound, medium-based infantry 24 of those 30 have strong ranged attacks whilst 18 of those 30 are weapon masters.

Zaal T4 can stop most Cryx lists in their tracks, loads of high ARM, non-living models that whenever a soul is dropped Zaal gets to choose where it goes. This even trumps the Deathjack special soul collection rule.

Naaresh T4 can put your entire army 28" up the board on turn 1. The way I run it is 30 Nihilators and 3 Archidons, though I'd probably take a fourth Archidon if I had the model. Think of it as a faster version of Butcher2s Doomreaver spam.

I personally haven't tried Mordikaars Tier yet as I have yet to play him at all, but with the Despoiler coming out in a couple of months I can see it getting some play. Army wide Incoporeal turn 1 and a metric crap-tonne of Incoporeal models could be problematic for the enemy to chew through.

I don't play Makeda 1 or 3, but I don't take Makeda2 in Tier as it doesn't allow for the Archidon.

Nono Laughing Man, that's just a desklamp with 4 other desklamps hanging off it. It's alright though, it's a common mistake.

What??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I thought he didn't come out until June. How did I miss this?

Give me a minute I need to head over to discountgamesinc.

Edit:

Whelp, I've got a Despoiler on it's way to me now. Anyone wanna buy a fully painted Jack heavy Cryx Army(I like Mortenebra)? I need to go out and buy another 10 Void Spirits and and like 5 feralgeists and those things aren't cheap. Danm you Skorne, I try to branch out into another army but you just keep pulling me back in.

Ones that I see bandied about:
Cygnar
- Haley2's NQ themelist
- Apparently silliness can happen with Siege's new one.

Protectorate of Menoth
- Harbinger's meatwall list had a bit of popularity in early MkII
- Kreoss2 seems to be used a lot.
- Kreoss3 does some good with Vengers.

Khador
- Butcher2 Doomreaver Spam is popular.
- Butcher1's NQ Theme is not bad but not something that I think I see a lot.
- Vladimir3's Theme is popular and seems to be fun as hell.

Cryx
- Mortenebra's is considered the best way to build for her.
- Goreshade2's is popular due to double Bane Thrall UA.
- Denegrah2's new NQ Theme is arguably broken as hell.

Retribution of Scyrah
- Don't. Maybe Issyria's?
- Ravyn if you hate your friends.

Convergence of Cyriss
- Carrier Group is popular for Iron Mother.
- Syntherian's is really what he wanted anyhow.
- Axis's has some silly recursion to it.

Mercenaries
- A Pirate's Life is much better for Shae than Talion.
- Bad Seeds is a popular way to run Magnus2, but requires you buy a bunch of stuff you don't use anywhere else.

Trollbloods
- Doomshaper1's Runes of War is a staple Trollblood list.
- So is Borka2's NQ theme Family Reunion.
- Grissel1 and Madrak1 have popular swarm lists with Kriel Warriors.

Circle Orboros
- Kaya2's original Theme is very popular way to run her. Her new one in NQ is also intriguing.
- Krueger2's NQ Theme The Devourer's Host is popular if you don't mind the loss of hitting power.
- Baldur1's use to be a staple but has fallen out of favor.
- Baldur2's is very successful in Hardcore events.

Skorne
- Rasheth's Chain Gang sees a lot of play.
- Zaal's is one of the popular ways to run him barring character restriction issues or want for Minions.

Legion of Everblight
- Vayl2's been talked about already.
- I think some folks liked Bethayne's as a way to go with her sometimes.
- Rhyas's NQ Theme seems to get some play about.
- Thagrosh1's NQ Theme has seen some success for long term a bamillion free points worth of lessers.

Minions
- No clue. I think Midas and Carver mainly?

And stuff.

Oh, and Haley2's Gravedigger's list.

Well at least it looks cool.

Barnabas is quite easy to get to tier 3 which gives some terrain mitigation. But if you just want your opponent to hate you, here's a quick list a 'friend' played against me a few weeks ago.

eMorv's tier can be fun, though it isn't anywhere near as juicy as what can be squeezed out of her out of tier.

Speaking of NQ Tier lists, are they published anywhere outside of NQ? Digging through back issues seems like an awkward way if they release like a yearly digest or some such.

I believe you can buy digital copies of any NQ you want with the PP digital reader app. As well as digital novellas, I've heard they're quite good.

Battle College lists the NQ number for the theme forces.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

NQ40 I think consolidated all the ones from 2011 into one place. No similar compilation has been done yet since then though.

And stuff.

Depends on match up. Butchers mad dogs of war murders lots of stuff brilliantly, it gets hosed by anything that can bring a heavy ranged game, or difficult terrain to the party.

Cool, I didn't know PP had a reader ap. Might have to check into that for... well I dunno, some magic elf box. I just found out Larry Correia writes for the Warmahordes 'verse, and I loved his Monster Hunter International stuff.

Thanks for the heads up!

Why do you think I now have a Swans army?

His WM/H stuff is just as good. You're in for a real treat!

No wargames these days, more DM/Painting.

I paint things occasionally. Some things you may even like!

Trollbloods run Borka's "family reunion" and Doomy's "Runes of war" tiers a fair bit, from what I've heard.

pMagnus' tier is very good. It gets all of your spells out right at the beginning and with resourceful, that's key.

Generally speaking, the best lists are the ones that give points reductions and/or bonuses for taking things you would take anyways. For that reason, Absylonia's is by far my favorite. I get to take more than 2 forsaken? And my plethora of Heavies are cheaper? Yep. Works for me. Though I always end up with about 4 points I don't know what to do with at the end (for 50 points anyways).

Otherwise...Blaque seems to have covered just about all of them that are useful.
