Subject: A friend of mine is having trouble with females-help me help him
This guy a f@cken wreck, theirs no other way to put it. He's a nice guy, and the worst sort, the kind that actually is nice and approaches girls with a "hi will you be my friend" sort of line. He keeps telling me how he wants this girl. in class to talk to him, it sounds like he might be kinda stalkish. He's a writer, or wants to be, but he writes stuff that's not um well its not the stuff they make movies out of, he writes alternative history, I write horror short stories which i've used to seem dark and sensitive at the same tame, his stuff just makes him seem depressed and lame. I don't think he's a stalker, just like I don't think he's lame, if he changed a couple things he'd be an above attractive college guy with alot going for him with a girl that's at least average in terms of personality and looks.
I tried to help him a few minutes ago. I offered him a rock band shirt and some cool sun glasses, told him some conversations starter he could use so he wouldn't be afraid of what to say to girl, told him to walk around with a i don't care attitude, maybe a came on to strong. He rejected it telling me that hes glad his medication lowers his drive, it made me sad and mad at him for wasting his potential, everything he wants is just in front of him if he'd just reach out and take a risk. I think I'm going to dump my friend, because its just to painful to watch him anymore.
If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever

Best way to help him? Not help him, if he tries to change himself it is a lie. A rockband shirt and sunglasses is not going to help him.

Mentally eccentric and being on meds is a very difficult combination to try to help or advise, especially with an already complex subject like pulling girls (if you lack confidence, of course).
I'd say don't meddle in this particular sector of his life. Tell him you have his back with everything else, but the fairer sex is a no-fly zone for you.

"Our fantasy settings are grim and dark, but that is not a reflection of who we are or how we feel the real world should be. [...] We will continue to diversify the cast of characters we portray [...] so everyone can find representation and heroes they can relate to. [...] If [you don't feel the same way], you will not be missed"

Sorry, but that is incorrect. It still works for me and I'm in my early 30s...

Sometimes. Not caring totally works, though. It's been working for men for literally hundreds of years.
