Good Ol' Texas

Hey guys, just finished up my army for the Alamo GT. Every model has 3 colors, at least 1 layer of highlights and 3 stages of basing (sand, paint, flock). All battlesuits are painted with heavy weathering, and almost all characters are going to symbols/scripting on the base or somewhere on the model. Small freehand work here and there too. Only question now is if I want a display base!

Here's my list:

Spoiler:
Primary (Tau):

HQ:
Commander (Iridium, Onager, MSSS, CnCN, PEN, VRT, Neuroweb) – 172
Ethereal – 50

Elites:
Riptide (HBC, Fusion, EWO, Velocity Tracker) – 205
Riptide (Ion, Fusion, EWO) – 190
Riptide (Ion, Fusion, EWO) – 190

Troops:
Kroot (15 man, 1 hound) – 95
Kroot (15 man, 1 hound) - 95

Heavy Support:
Sky Ray (Blacksun Filter, SMS) – 116
Broadsides (3 man, HYMP, SMS, x3 Target Lock, x6 Marker Drones) – 282

Space Wolves:

HQ:
Rune Priest (Jaws of the World Wolf, Living Lightning) – 100
Rune Priest (Jaws of the World Wolf, Murderous Hurricane) – 100

Troops:
Grey Hunters (5 man, Drop Pod) – 110
Grey Hunters (5 man, Drop Pod) - 110

Inquisition Detachment:

Ordos Xenos Inquisitor (x3 Servo Skulls) – 34

Thanks for looking, and as always, leave feedback! I hope to see some of you at Alamo GT!

Very nice, was looking at your Tau a couple of days back any chance of a tutorial on the weathering?

Good luck against the deathstars.

Awesomely weathered tau!

Thanks guys!

The weathing is done using a sponge. Just primed white, apply orange/spot color where needed, then sponge with grey. Reapply the base colors in the inner parts then sponge again, then wash the crevices black. Really fun and easy to do

Thanks for looking!

Triptide is relatively tame.

Fantastic. Looks like it'd be a shame to remove your models during a game.

Yeah, losing just 1 Riptide kinda throws a wrench in your plans, but it works out in the end

Love the ork servo skulls!. Those are some real dirty and weathered tau which you don't see to often, look good.

I really like the weathering technique, but I think there might be a little too much. That's just my personal opinion. Otherwise, great looking army!

Thanks! The weathering is a bit much looking back at it, but I think it works out.

Just a quick question, should I do a display base or just leave it as-is?
