what I mean is that how many months has it been since it originally released? and those other supplements that made the transition to hardback did it in a predictable number of months or was it always random?

When both Inquisition and AS digital codexes launched, I thought about they being more 'update' codexes instead of the real deal for 6th. With 7th approaching, maybe they'll launch hardback versions of both - or at least Sororitas, as Inquisition can be seen more as an 'ally' codex, like LotD and MT.
However, I won't expect those happening before 2016, if they ever do.

Honestly judging from the lackluster militarum tempestus, I doubt it.

They seem to be only comfortable for small "supplement" sized books. The Imperial Knights for basically 2 models can attest to that. Then only "core" codex armies.
Inquisition has the benefit of a huge amount of fluff so the book was oddly large, I cannot see it being published after this much time has passed.

I'm thinking though that the upcoming Grey Knights codex will narrow down the armylist even more to just the Astartes, thereby stripping Coteaz, Karamazov, Henchmen squads and the like from the codex, and in that case the Inquisition codex will continue to have validity.

You know, I got really excited when I heard a inquisition codex was coming out. Went out and bought an inquisitor and everything. And then found out it was digital only. Personally, I hate digital codex's. If they would bring it out to hardback, I would buy it in a second. But until then, my inquisitor will be purging the dust of my shelves.

I think that if Codex: Inquisition was going to be hardback, it already would have been. Inquisition is already old news in GW's eyes. I think someone referenced them saying that C:MT is already considered obsolete, so I don't know how much hope there can be that Inquisition would get any more attention. Personally, I just wish with the Inquisitor skirmish game would have been real!

Agreed.
It's release date (Nov 2013) to now is a longer gap than the gap between digital supplement release dates and their hard back dates.
So, signs point to no.
