I realized, that assembled Valkyrie is too big and bulky, so it cannot be transported in typical boxes.
How to make it with removable parts? Thinking of removable pilot cabin and wings.

The wings are easy. They slot into quite deep slots, so stay in place with friction only. The cockpit could be made to be detachable, but would probably need some hefty support.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

My wings are magnetised. I trimmed back the slots and set two 5mmx 3mm magnets into the wing roots (on the booms) on each side and trimmed back the wing studs that slot into them to fit two matching magnets.

The slots help to line up the wings and the magnets pull them into position. They stay on during play, but come off for transport. I have two of them in a foam tray this way.

Fuselages go in diagonally nose to tail (side by side) and the wings go on either corner. It was a custom foam tray.

Unable to provide pics - I don't habitually take WIP photos (I do a bit of planning, sketching but when I start a project model, it is go to whoah! with no time to take pictures.

Also, I just sold the valks. Getting rid of my guard stuff after 5 years of not playing them and it not changing with the new codex.
