What kind of camera is good for taking pictures close up of your models that isn't terribly expensive.

I currently use my Blackberry, but as demonstrated below its not very good.

Many of my pictures come out this blurry. Any suggestions on a nice, reasonably priced digital camera that will improve my pictures?

Are you using the macro feature? (flower picture)

I'm using the close-up setting on the camera. It does not have a macro feature (though it does look like a little flower).

It says Ideal for capturing subjects that are close to the camera; enhances the detail and sharpness of close-up subjects.

That's strange.

What i know does help is to prop up the phone so it doesn't move (something heavy on both sides that it can lean on), let it focus fully, then carefully take the picture.

I've tried bracing as you've suggested, but it doesn't focus well.

Little blurry? Not compared to mine, sir/madam.

Where did you get it from? That seems like a reasonable price.

But it seems like it would be a nice improvement. And then I can use it for trips and family gatherings and such.

There are aquite a few picture taking tutorials on these boards. Maybe google for dakka pictures tutorial?

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I have Flinty. I read some when I first started my blog.

I think along with a decent camera I need to make myself a photo booth so there's nothing in the background for my camera to try and focus on.
