Is it possible to magnetize all the weapons on a Stormtalon without having to resort to buying extra parts? Same thing with a Stormraven.

So far the only Vehicles I've magnetized are a predator and a couple Land Raiders. For the Predator I think I was able to use what was available with the kit (I'm hoping I can do the same with the Stormtalon & raven). With the Land raider varients I ended up having to buy extra sprues for the sponson weapons... I'm wondering if I'll have to do that with the two fliers.

I was able to use magnets in the side weapons of the stormtalon, but the external pieces, you will likely need to use a metallic wire of some sort.

I would imagine they make magnets small enough, but there really isn't any point in wasting magnets.

so for instance, the face pieces for the missiles/hvy bolters have a wire vertically on the back just buried flush, then there is a magnet that is inside the model where that face piece mounts.

I successfully magnetized both wings and spoiler of a stormraven. I also got the little meltas in the nose of the plane magniztized, and the guns on the turret.

For the sponson it's very possible, just follow almost any sponson magnet tut. You will need different sizes of magnets of the rare earth kind to do everything listed.

Cool beans thanks... I'm used to magnetizing stuff on stuff like Razorbacks, Preds, Vinds, and Land Raiders but never tried the flyers yet.

For the SR side sponsons, build and paint the sponson (entire thing!) separate from the model.
Get some decent sized magnets (like what you'd find in the hobby/craft section of WalMart).
Glue a magnet to the inside of each sponson assembly.
Glue two more magnets to a piece of clear sprue that you cut into a length appropriate for the SR.
Works like a charm, and you can magnetize the doors too for if you're not feeling sponsons that game. Even without doors on, looks a hell of a lot better than just taking the hurricane bolters off and having the rest of the assembly stuck to the raven.
