Right so this is my Vet Guard List. i'm going to try replacing the Manticore with a pair of Wyvern's but until i do i'm going to stick with my Manticore. any and all advice/ constructive criticism welcome.

Hmmm, ok, MT command squad, flamers? Give them plasma or melta. Aren't many units that would enjoy having 4 double-tapping plasma guns suddenly land nearby.

The two walking vet squads, I'm assuming they're going behind the Aegis? Consider giving them lascannons or autocannons. BS 4, prescience and Fire on my Target (Ignore Cover) make a really nice combo. Even if we lose prescience, it's still worthwhile.

Astropath is (IMO) nearly useless, Looked over Telepathy and wasn't impressed.

I agree with Don_mondo move the autocannons to the static squads so they are actually getting use.

the astropath is about useless as well as the medic, you would benifit more from camo gear and snipers in your CCS

why the heavy stubber on a vanquisher?

also i would proxy something as wyvrens over that manticore untill you can get some, they are much better at dealing with any type of infantry. obviously you know that since you plan to replace it.

the heavy stubber is because my vanquisher has a co axil one built on it. actual i don't plan to replace it i plan to test the wyvern as i do like the manticore. i don't like using heavy weapons in my vets.

Any particular reason you would put a stubber on a tank hunter?

Also why would you not like heavy weapons on vets?

it's on there because when it's my tank company command tank the co-axil stubber gives me a reroll to hit on the vanq cannon. and i'm not removing it in hopes that Forge world do an update so i can have it as a co-axil again. as for the heavy wepons it's so that if i need them to they can still be mobile and not loose any punch.

You can always snap fire or use the shoot then run order if you really need them to move...also if you have a heavy weapons team they are also aremed with a lasgun you could choose to fire that if you have to move, therefore losing one lasgun, i would hardly call that "losing any punch"

so made some changes and now have 18 points left. i am going to try a heavy weapon vet squad and i've added a tech priest due to the amount of armor in my list. again any constructive criticism welcome.

Looks good, if you drop the 2 bolt pistols in the mech vets you can add 2 autocannons to your camo vets.

or add some camo to your CCS.

Autocannons on chimeras?...can that happen? What's the rules on that tech priest? I'm guessing like a SM tech.

the autocannons are forge world. and a tech priest can heal one hull point, immobilized and weapon destroyed results. plus he can give one vehicle power of the machine spirit.

hm just found my secrets of the third reich british troops now i'm wondering about using them as some storm troopers. as i only dropped the storm troopers as i can't afford to get enought of the new gw ones. heck i can have quiet a large force with the number of men i have a command squad and two ten man squads.
