So I was wondering what was know about this subject because I've heard multiple things from many different sources. I've heard BA vs Orks and very similar to DV but I've also heard it'd be a much smaller set with an incomplete rule book. And then I've heard they'll just stick with DV.

The two that are possible in my head are DV staying and BA and Orks.

The fact that once the new edition comes out that they are leaving the old starter set on the shelfs with only a "rules outdated" sticker when the new edition comes out makes me think DV.

However, I would rather have BA and Orks.

No, it won't. We were told to pull our DV off the shelves. Since I don't actually talk to a gw rep weekly I don't know what they will be replaced with.

Considering Orks are the supposed next codex, probably another Assault on *name area here* with more models that are annoying to get without the box so we spam buy it lol (im thinkin deffkoptas here)

Not going to lie though, if it is orks i probably wont buy it for the sheer fact i have like 8-9k points of orks, most of which are unassembled still lol. However if its ye olde SM vs Orks combo, i'll get it because i have the new SM codex already anyway and have been heavily contemplating getting an army started. More ork bitz is only icing on the cake lol.

I'd like to see Orks and BA or even something else, but given the rumours that it'll be a small and pathetic boxed set I'd rather just have DV stay. At least DV is useful, the rumoured 5 marines and 5 scouts isn't.

There are tons of rumors going around. DV is not likely to stay as many store owners have said that they are pulling them or not required to carry it anymore. There has been talk about Guard and Eldar. Which honestly seems just as unlikely because space marines are what this game is all about and a starter without them would be just sad. People seem to agree that it will be blood angels and orks. The contents are as of yet unknown. On the ork side there has been a large list of units that may be in the set. Blood angles have a smaller list of possible content. The latest rumor has the box looking like this

terrain of some kind

orks, boos and wyerd boy, ten slugga boyz ten shoota boyz, 5 mega nobz and 5 comandos

BA, LE senguinary priest, capitan w jump pack, assault squad, dreadnought, and tacticals of course.

I hear BA and Orks or SW and Orks.

you and i both know the only reason nothing "orky" is placed on the box is because waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh of de phat lootz is too long to print on a box

Bols gives quite a promising "leaked" list of models in the starter. Beachhead stygia or something, assault marines, mega nobs, a dread etc. If thats the case i will probably get it.

I want IG vs Orks, I'd buy 10.

A new edition of AOBR would be fun. I'd turn the marines into chaos marines, and the orks into zombies & terrain.

This is just what I've heard but there wasn't much in the box set. There's less than there was in DV (about 300pts on each side), no rule book, and no templates

I would love to see a good loadout for blood angels though.

There is a white dwarf scan over in news and rumors that mentions that DV is going to continue to be the starter just with the new rulebook. If I can find the scan I'll post it here
