To tell the truth, I havn't thought about them much one way or the other until I saw this. Like all things, I guess it's how they're used. In this woman's case, she was being obnoxious, looking for an ass kicking. I could see them being cool to wear while rock climbing, para gliding, or something similar.

I think there are some useful applications, and wearable computing is almost certainly the future of how we interact with our technology, but in 2014, anyone wearing them looks like a toolbox.
